Busy Body is the home of the ground-breaking Genetic Health Coaching Memberships, a revolutionary approach to health and fitness featuring our award-winning time-efficient exercise program, Functional Movement Correction, and comprehensive nutrition and lifestyle coaching based on your genes.

We operate from our own private results studio based in Bucklands Beach, Auckland. Members on our Premium Coaching Membership can book their own private time slot to conduct their exercise sessions. We also offer an Online Only Membership for those living further away, or who don’t require use of the facility.

If you’re a business owner or self-employed, you can even claim the Coaching Memberships as a business expense under the SMEAEP Stress Management program (a joint venture between Exercise NZ and the IRD). Read more about this here.

Busy Body 12 Minute System.

The 12 minute system was awarded the ‘Innovation of the Year’ at the New Zealand Exercise Industry Awards.

If you’ve ever said ‘I don’t have time to exercise’, this might be the perfect solution for you, it’s the most time-efficient exercise program around! The exercise output from your genetic health profile will specify if this system is the best one for you.

The 12-minute system is a combination of functional full-body strength training using HIRT ( High Intensity Resistance Training) just once per week, and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) twice per week – but only for a matter of minutes each time. You’ll need to be prepared to push yourself out of your comfort zone in these short sessions! Our system is unique, you won’t find it anywhere else.

How it started…

Busy Body was founded by Ross Bymolt in 2010 after leaving a corporate job and returning to follow a lifetime passion of exercise.

Ross had a very unique plan for the fitness industry, and he dreamed of creating his own private facility rather than a more traditional model of contracting to a public gym.

The first studio was constructed in a small garage in Cockle Bay, then after 2 years the studio moved to a much bigger premises in Pakuranga. After 7 years and 3 different studio setups, we moved into a fantastic space in Howick, and in 2023 moved again to the current location in Bucklands Beach. As Ross started to get busy, he struggled to find time for his own exercise solution. It was from this pain that the award-winning ’12 Minute System’ was first introduced, born out of necessity so Ross could stay strong, fit and healthy.

Hi – my name is Ross and I’m the original ‘Express Results Coach’ here at Busy Body. I’m a passionate sportsman and devoted dad, and have been involved with strength training since high school. I graduated from MAX International College for Fitness Professionals in 2009 with a Double Diploma with Excellence award.

I believe in continuous education and have completed Advanced Padmasters Focus Pad Boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing pads, Holistic Movement Coach, Epigenetics Mastery Series and Epigenetics endorsement courses.

My career highlight to date was entering the New Zealand Exercise Industry Awards for the first and only time in 2017, and winning the ‘Innovation of the Year’ (the 12 minute system) and placing runner-up for ‘Personal Trainer of the Year’!
